Oooooh, and in other exciting vidding news, the bidding on Sweet Charity ended and I've been hooked up with two really lovely bidders. One vid will be a demon-hunting, ass-kicking Winchesters gen vid (song specified by the bidder) and the other will either be a Faith or SPN vid (I gave my bidder a list of vid bunnies I've had and she's going to pick one off the list). Both of them are being way awesome about letting me have lots of flexibility and creative control. And it's going to give the extra kick-in-the-pants I've needed to start vidding in new fandoms. I already have the source footage for all of SPN and Buffy, and now I have a good excuse to get going!

The aftermath of Vividcon is absolutely one of my favorite times of year. So many awesome vids popping up everywhere! And, as I was telling sundancekid last night at roller-skating, I truly realized this year how much I love dance-vids more than all others. Club Vivid is the BEST DAMN THING ON THE PLANET.

I know/hope that BSG fandom will be exploding with a bunch of new vids now that the S3 discs are out, so I figured I should weigh in on some of my recent favorites before then.

So, now that we've established that I only really like vids with mountains of action/angst or that are 100% fluffy/crackalicious, and that I tend to prefer song choices that are loud and angry or silly and dancey...anyone wanna rec me some awesome vids? Doesn't matter if they're not one of my favorite fandoms, I watch outside of my fandoms all the time :)

M is for Malfoy because this future!fic by cynthia_arrow has me thinking that a particularly nasty and villainous Slytherin might just make the hottest reformed-but-still-snarky bad boy evar. I've never really cared for Malfoy, in the books or films, and now I'm having the smutty type thoughts...

F for Faith because this vid by heresluck has been eating my brain with its amazing angsty and lush deliciousness for weeks now (plus it's to one of my favorite Tegan and Sara songs!).

I didn't like Faith at all at first when I started watching Buffy and now I luuuuuurve her. Just like I didn't like Starbuck at first, or Lex, or Sawyer, or Logan for that matter...or any of the other Obligatory Psychotic Jackasses (OPJs) that I seem to fall for eventually.

Which brings me to a pattern I have noticed over time regarding the characters I gravitate towards in my various fandoms. ( It goes something like this... )

Now my brain's all fuzzy. Now I kinda want to do a bigger J's Bad Girls and Boys of Fandom picspam... Well, here's hoping this meta has left you as thoroughly horny and conflicted as me :)

What about you guys? Any pathological fandom and/or attraction patterns you've noticed in yourselves?
