Rather than grovel for not having been around during the holidays, I'm going to start the new year with a whole damn bunch of fandom love. First, a vid rec post for all of my favorites of 2007!

My 2007 Vid Recs by Fandom

BSG, always first in my heart *g*

• Dualbunny's Cuz I Can is hands down my favorite vid of the year. SO FRAKKING GOOOOOOD. (It is my sooperseekrit vidder's dream to someday vid Kara as well as she does... )


• Alice's Blue, another one of my favorite S3 Kara vids


• Jarrow's Falling From the Sky, such a lovely combination of angst and action for Kara and the nuggets!


• KC's Battlestar Inferno: So Ghetto, So Hood, so damn catchy and hilarious that I'm still rewatching it regularly


• LauraShapiro and SDWolfpup's Let's Go Crazy because I'm a sucker for crack and dancey vids (and who can resist a vid with the tagline "Gaius Baltar doubts your commitment to sparkle motion"?!?)


• Martha's two Kara/Sam videos, The Fragile and Figured You Out are awesome too


• Dayln's Lay Me To Sleep, a Sharon vid that is just too shiny for words :)


• Honorable mentions to Boppy, Jo, hazyshade, Anno, nnaylime and fahrbotdrusilla who all made several fab BSG vids each

Supernatural, which I'm totally going to start vidding as soon as I get start my Xmas gift card shopping spree!

• Ash48's gorgeous S3 angst vid Our Time Is Running Out, full of Sam and Dean facing Dean's impending death and Sam's growing darkness. SO GOOD.


• Deirdre's hilarious and damn pretty crackvids Things That Make You Go Hmmmm and You're Fit but You Know It


• Dayln's recent Rage vid Killing in the Name Of is awesome too. Full of shinyness, great editing on the action/beats and AAAAAAAAANGST.

Other fandoms: Whedon-verse and Harry Potter

• Dualbunny's Snakes on a Plane, a hilarious fast-paced HP vid, is just so perfect! I love her timing and her sense of humor!


• SemiCharmedMike's I Don't Dance, a Buffyverse Footloose is made of win! I love any excuse to watch Angel's clapping-spaz dance!


• Bradcpu's Living Dead Girl angst vid for Faith makes me ache so good


• Stephen's I Bet That You Look Good on the Dancefloor, a dancey slayer-femslash vid that just completely won me over!

And a little shameless self-pimpage, since 2007 was my first year as a vidder...

• Joan Jett's Bad Reputation is my most stolen/linked/pimped vid so far. Who can resist Kara the Screw-Up and Her Pretty Boy-Toys?


• The Humans Are Dead sparked my brief but delightful 15 minutes of fandom fame :)


• Sexy Back was so much fun to make, so much eye candy to choose from!


• Speed Racer was the pinnacle of my crack!vidding so far


• Nickelback's Someone That You're With is my little-Kara/Lee-shipper-vid-that-could. I just want to giggle at Lee and wrap him up in a big hug every time I watch it.
