I'm just bursting with flist love and admiration right now, because y'all are kicking some serious ass I have to say.

bop_radar just made the most gorgeous and nuanced Lex Luthor vid to Paranoid Android by Radiohead.

It's complex. It's intense. It's BEAUTIFUL. And it may be one of the best damn vids I've ever ever seen.

Other fandom joys of late:

It is worth mentioning the awesome multi-fandom vid by

giandujakiss to Squeeze's Hourglass. It's all about time loops in different shows, including Buffy, SPN and SG, and it strikes a marvelous balance between humorous and poignant.

I also cracked up hard at 1) this v v serious picspam essay on intertextuality in Supernatural; 2) QoT's hilarious crack!fic RumpelGaeta; and 3)

millari's Gaius and Gaeta epistolary catfight.

Also? My appetite for J2 AU is apparently boundless right now. Here be more recs than you can shake a stick at.

Well, it only took me EIGHT MONTHS to get my act together after my last vid. Granted I finished grad school and got my 'real' job in the meantime...but STILL. Unexcusable absence from vidding!

I had the idea for this vid ages ago, but it was more like a crack!vid bunny at the time. Then S4 happened, and I finally had enough footage to support my crazy-ass idea, and it got all character-driven and achey. I want to hug my Chief even more after making this. Seriously--the man needs a hug.

Have to pop in and interrupt my regularly scheduled getting-ready-for-work-week program to bring you a rec for one of the most amazing fic and vid combo's ever in the history of fangirl brain-twin mind-melds:

super_kc wrote a truly amazing fic for the

bsg_slashathon that explored an Anders/Duck AU on New Caprica that was beautiful and painful and believable and PERFECT.

And then

dayln03 was inspired to make a companion vid that took all my favorite, gut-wrenching images from the fic and just added even more layers of nuance and meaning to this AU relationship. *AM NOW DED FROM TEH AWESOME*

Now I have to gush about how much I love fandom, and the sheer fucking awesomeness of brilliant and talented people who support and inspire one another to phenomenal heights of creativity, and I LOVE EVERYONE. YOU ARE ALL AMAZING.

It's a beautiful look at every sacrifice and hard choice Lee has had to make in the military. All teasing about Leemo aside, this vid really does him justice. It's gorgeous and damn good character meta too.

Not sure what is happening to my brain here. At least the fangirl part of it. I have been readings GOBS AND GOBS of loooooong AU J2 fics and discovering so many bloody amazing writers in SPN/J2 fandom. I'm a big fan of all kinds of pairings so I'm usually more varied in my reading (het, femslash, slash, it's all good!) but this is by far and away the most time I've spent reading nothing but slash. And it's so damn good y'all.

I know that most of the BSGers on my flist could give a shit about spn/j2 so I'm keeping my squee to a minimum, but SERIOUSLY. There is nothing quite like diving head first into an amazingly prolific and talented fandom. I'm just about bursting with love for all my fellow fangirls.
