Bond, baby:
No picspam for this one, but...
1. I can't believe I loved a Bond movie. Even Dalton's and Connery's hotness couldn't warm me to the cheesy plots and unrepentant misogyny of the old flicks.
2. Train snark and sexy banter to die for...
3. The shower scene! How on earth did a Bond movie manage to have an emotionally resonant and poignant scene?
4. I loved the whole opening foot-chase with crazy jumping and acrobatics
5. And Mrs. Riley Finn was an evil blonde hench-lady!

I haven't seen that many episodes of The Office, but I watched and thought it was soooo funny. I do have the "faaaaaaace" reaction to Jim that typically only Logan can inspire.
Holy Frack Was BG Awesome! Sweaty Anders and Apollo fighting! That may have replaced my dream of an Ollie/Logan crossover fic. Okay so I'm greedy, and want both ;)
A dear friend, who also disliked Bond until she saw Casino Royale, said I have to see it for the chair scene alone.

BTW, if you haven't read Intra by Kate Andrews (http://svilleficrecs.livejournal.com/102660.html), now is the perfect time to do it. It is my favorite Kara/Lee fic by far, and I go back to it every so often. Especially after this episode, it's amazing to see how DEAD ON it is.

I know, was it not AMAZING? I don't know if I'll say it's my favorite overall fic ever, but it is certainly the one that I have re-read the most.

Basically anything the author svilleficrecs writes is great. I must confess that I haven't read widely in BSG since I first started watching it and rampaged through fic last January/February, but I got most of my recs off of crack_van (an excellent pan-fandom rec resource).

On the other hand, I can rec good The O.C. off the top of my head, if that is the sort of thing you are into.

Office:

My husband and I looked at each other when Karen and Pam got super-chummy and said, "Looks like Jim's going to be the big loser!" I loved those two hitting it off. -grinning- I have to say, I like Karen and I don't mind Karen & Jim, but I am a little disappointed that in an hour long show we didn't get more JimPam! I love JimPam!

BSG:

I am so over Kara and Lee! I wanted KaraLee for so long, but they keep doing the "over the summer" kind of relationship recap that Veronica threw at us for L/V and I'm all like bzzzhuh??! Knock it off with the sleeping together In-The-House-That-Ander's-Didn't-Built flashbacks! Damn you, BSG! (But still... the making out? Hot.) And what's up with the Baltar/Caprica Six/D'Anna threeways?? Do you remember when Six and Baltar used to be such sweet, sweet eyecandy? Even when they were destroying the universe?? Now it's all... sorry Caprica, but we're outtie! XXOO, Three. Hrmph!

Bond:

Shower scene! Perfect! Unspoiled by not going overboard with it and making it hotsweatydirtysex! And that opening scene... wow. I could have watched another twenty minutes of it and I'm not one for chase scenes (though I have to say, the opening scene from Transporter still has my vote).

I've never liked a single Bond. Fell asleep each time trying to watch the first Dalton one (I tried it on two separate occasions). But Daniel Craig... awesome. Gimme more!

Dude! In-The-House-That-Ander's-Didn't-Built flashbacks, for the win! And I totally agree with the L/V flashbacks comparison: during-the-break flashbacks are all hot and stuff, but real-time sweatiness is better.

Still don't know what to make of the whole Baltar threeway either--other than that he's always been an opportunistic bastard so that part makes sense, but the stuff with D'Anna is still kind of throwing me. Not sure I'm buying that "spiritual" connection, hehe.

And I wanted more JimPam too (even though I think Karen and Karen/Jim are totally acceptable). But after that rebound speech...maybe more soon? Bring on the Office-threeways! Those girls would totally pwn Jim!
