Answers to the sooper-seekrit OTPs meme

1. McKay/Sheppard (SGA)
   
   Sheppard: "Well, then, I guess we're all gonna die."
   McKay: "Oh, you're doing that on purpose!"
   Sheppard: "What?"
   McKay: "You're creating an impossible task that my ego will force me to overcome."
   Sheppard: "Oh, yes, yes, that's exactly what I'm doing. It has nothing at all to do with saving the lives of these people. It's all about you. Now get your ass back to work and fix those damn engines!"
   
   It totally cracks me up that several people thought this was a Firefly quote--though I can see the engine-fixing sounding kind of Kaylee-like--because this brand of snark is so purely and uniquely McShep IMHO



2. Veronica/Logan (Veronica Mars)
   
   Logan to [Veronica]: "My day is complete. [Veronica Mars] has accused me of evil!
   
   Though not complete without the mental image of JDoh twirling his imaginary villainous handle-bar mustache!!



3. Buffy/Spike (BtVS)
   
   Spike: "I've seen the best and the worst of you and I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You are a hell of a woman. You're the one, Buffy."
   Buffy: "I don't want to be the one."
   Spike: "I don't want to be this good-looking and athletic. We all have crosses to bear."
   
   I LOOOOOOVE that Steph thought this was Edward/Bella because snarky-but-melodramatic human/vampire relationships DO tend to sound alike.



4. Clark/Lex (Smallville)
   
   Lex [to Clark]: "I could have helped you become a hero."



5. Anders/Lee (BSG)
   
   Anders: "What are you, some Godsdamn wind-up tin soldier? This is my wife we're talking about."
   Lee: "I know who she is! And I have known her and cared about her a hell of a lot longer than you!"
   
   I was trying to find a better quote for these guys but sooooooo much of their slash-able tension is in body language, so OH WELL. Go read some Anders/Lee fic instead since canon has failed us for good sexy dialogue.



6. Jared/Jensen (SPN RP)
   
   Jensen: "We’re late because he [indicated Jared] partied hard last night and apparently fell asleep in the shower."
   Jared: "I couldn’t attend an interview without having a shower."
   Jensen: "Sure… but you’re always in there for hours. What do you do in there?"
   Jared: "There’s a lot of me to wash, okay?”
   
   The only real-person pairing on the list because they make my tin-hat sparkle like no other fake!couple out there. I MEAN COME ON. They are hot, adorable, friendly and affectionate best friends who LIVE TOGETHER--they pretty much slash themselves.



7. Buffy/Faith (BtVS)
   
   Faith: "Tell me you don't get off on this! "
   Buffy: "It didn't suck."
   
   Again, so much of their chemistry is in their body language and not their dialogue (and Eliza's ability to make ANY dialogue sound suggestive), but I do truly love these two together. So much angst and heat.



8. Shane/Carmen (The L Word)
   
   Carmen: "Oh, listen to this. Monogamy is common among birds."
   Shane: "That's great 'cause I love birds."
   Carmen: "It is the practice of having a single mate during a period of time. Does that... mean anything to you?"
   Shane: "I'm willing to try. Is that not enough? I'm willing to try something that doesn't come naturally to me, and that I don't understand but am willing to try."
   Carmen: "Mmhmm. Right. Birds, Shane, I'm talking about a god-damn-fucking bird. Asking you to be as civilized as a god-damn-fucking bird."
   
   Carmen is the only one awesome and sassy enough to even come close to taming my beloved Shane! Fucking loved these two together while it lasted!



9. Logan/Weevil (Veronica Mars)
   
   Weevil: "Well, if I thought you had the cojones to pull it off I'd tell you, but...."
   Logan: "Never underestimate the size of my cojones. "
   
   Several people thought this quote was Veronica/Logan, but nope! This particular hot, slashy, testosterone-fueled banter is pure Weevil/Logan gold.



10. Kara/Lee (BSG)
    
    Kara [to Lee]: "You love me. You can't take it back. There's no take backs."
    
    *sigh* I love my fucking pilots so much.


Winners are dayln03 (5 correct) and einaphets (4.5). Most everyone else got at least one or two right :)

And speaking of a certain JPadHotFace and another JDohSexAss...WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THAT JASON DOHRING WAS ACTUALLY GETTING HOTTER WITH TIME.

I just assumed he had ceased to exist when I stopped paying attention to VM, but these pics from Polaris 08 clearly prove that his hotness is just INCREASING.

I KNOW. I seriously assumed he had just disappeared after VM (despite knowing in some rational part of my brain that he was on some vampire show...) but apparently the hotassery is just continuing to increase with time. NOT FAIR! By which I mean, of course, AWESOME.

I did not participate in this because my brain went "pfft!" as soon as it saw the quotes. The ones I didn't know confused the ones I did know. Of course, the obvious ones (in my case) were SO OBVIOUS (ie: Kara/Lee, Anders/Lee, Logan/Veronica, Weevil/Logan, Buffy/Spike) but the others made my brain go 'splodey, after which it refused to work at all.

I have to say that Jared looks particularly scrumptious in that last pic, but that I very much do not agree with the hat he's wearing in the others.

Argh. No. 2! *kicks self repeatedly* I just started watching VM. I go back and forth between Buffy and VM. I'm totally shipping VM and Logan. Don't tell me if I'm right. Well, maybe just a hint. No, No, NO! Don't tell me. argh.

I haven't watched Smallville, SG1 or Lword. My current addiction is True Blood. Yay HBO full-on Sex!

Oh honey: the fun is JUST BEGINNING. Buffy and VM were my first two fandoms, and still own a huge chunk of my fangirl heart. I will leave it vague: you are NOT WRONG in your inclinations about ships ;)
