I've succumbed to yet another form of fancrack...Stargate Atlantis.

That's right Gays in Space finally made an appearance on my screen and now I am marathoning season 1 and drooling over my new teevee boyfriends Joe Flanigan (I've always known he was cute, but seriously that smirking just kills me dead) and David Hewlett (Rodney McKay is the secret nerdy teddy bear twin of my beloved Chief Tyrol fyi). Haven't even gotten to the stuff with hottass Momoa yet and I'm already hooked.

Not just pretty faces either and cheesy special effects either, because the show actually has some good writing sometimes. The episode that actually clinched it for me was Childhood's End. Dystopian young adult cultures FTW! It was like Mad Max + Logan's Run + Lowry's "The Giver, and I totally loved every cracktastic second of it.

So for those of you who have been playing in/around SGA fandom for a while, help a fangirl out? Picspam me with your favorite JFlan or DHew pics? Rec me some good non-spoilery fic or some shiny vids? Tell me where the cool kids hang out?

I've been skirting the SGA fandom for several months now. I even wrote a fic. My love of Sheppard/McKay waxes and wanes (a girl has times where she just doesn't want to read s/D fic all the time, lol), but I always think the actors are adorable and awesome. Now, if I could just make myself sit down and watch the actual show... (I've only seen 6-8 episodes from season one.)

I haven't started reading any of the fic yet, so I haven't been inundated by d/s, but those boys are completely adorable so I'm planning on starting in on the fic soon. It's always a little daunting in a new fandom before you get a feel for what comms and which writers you're going to like.

Well, you say that like if it's weird and i must say that it's a really good show.. as good as stargate sg-1.. so it's great that you gave it a try.

I do like John a lot and season 1 but the truth is that it wasn't until Ronon arrived to the series that I really enjoyed it and liked it a lot more because it really improved; (i guess it can be compared to my case with Anders and BSG) and he's my fav character; and as pair or "relationship" my fav is *always* John/Ronon. Have fun with the marathon ^g^ ;)

Duuude, welcome to the party!! I love SGA, although sadly the crack onscreen is going away (cancelled, oh noes!). Lots of people on my flist are SGA'ers, if you feel like browsing around that way.
