It's about damn time.
CANON BITCHES. For serious.
Granted, it's not Buffy/Faith (which remains irrefutable fanon for me), but Buffy is bi!!!
ETA: I guess I should really modify this to specify that I have always thought that Buffy was sexually fluid in her attractions and partners, and this just confirms that. I don't think it's a big fat ret-con, nor do I think Joss is trying to make any huge statement. I just think it's awesome that in his writing, regardless of format, he goes out of his way to show characters that fall along every part of the spectrum in both gender identity and sexuality. Yay for sexual progressiveness in mainstream pop culture!
In short: Teh Whedon wins. At everything. Including life.

Date: 2008-03-08 11:14 pm (UTC)The part I'm holding off on hinders on whether or not I like how the relationship develops. I was never a fan of Willow/Kennedy. To me, Willow/Tara just seemed natural, it didn't seem contrived to make waves or to have the token gay character on a show which seems to be the way of shows these days. Willow/Tara was just meant to be. Whereas Kennedy always just felt thrown in to me and I never really got their particular pairing, but that's maybe just me.
