It helps that I get paid to read a lot :) But there is never enough time in the world to read all the cool books that I hear/read about--my 'to-read' pile just grows longer and longer...oh well. Yay books!
And I LOOOOOVE The Giver. It's one of my all-time favorites too. I love dystopian mindfucks like that (and Brave New World and Atwood and newer ones like the Uglies trilogy and the Hunger Games)!!! There's another novel by Lowry in the same universe called Gathering Blue that's pretty good.
