The Elation of Action and Reaction

Mr BQ and I will be going to see the finale at the Lake Creek Alamo theatre in Austin, if any of my flisters felt like joining us (nudge nudge to einaphets and gypsy_sally).

BSG 4.19: in which I still love Sam the smartypants and Kara the amazing and am optimistic about the awesomeness of the finale next week

I liked all of the flashbacks but Sam's was definitely my favorite. Loved getting to see Sam be fascinating and intelligent. Yes, he's always been hot. But he's never been a dumb jock, and I really LOVE that we got at least one more strong scene from him (especially since we spent the rest of the time looking up his nostrils while he lay in a tub...).

Also loved all the Kara bits of course.
-Loved the flashback with Zak and Lee. (I don't care of Academy!hijinks are now non-canon, I will always love all fics set in that era!)
-Loved her moment of acceptance with Adama (even if it's too little too late, still nice sentiment).
-Loved her getting to be the military strategist again.
-Loved her holding Roslin up (totally thought of beerbad when I saw that!).

I kind of expected the final mission to be bigger than a suicide mission/rescue for Hera. Maybe it will FEEL bigger and more intense next week. But I'm feeling pretty optimistic that the finale will still manage to blow my socks off.

Oh, and I'm avoiding whatever spoilers Katee apparently just leaked about the finale, so please don't mention anything from there :)

I think Lee can still visit Kara at the Academy while she instructs and they can still have hijinks. Maybe even a double dog dare :P

Epic battle is good but I do hope it doesn't last too long, we've got other things to resolve and yet I fear that Ron, being the boy he is, will want an epic and lonnng space battle with lots of special effects. He did say they were saving up $ for the end.

La la la. I have no idea what Katee said.

Ooh, the finale on a big screen with a room full of fans. That's cool! But honestly I wish my friend and her son weren't coming over because I would rather cry like a baby all by my lonesome. :)
