State of fannishness

Not dead! Just full of RL busy-ness and having less time to do things beyond lurk (and love you all deeply, just without--you know--talking to anyone...). Anyway, posting!fail and commenting!fail aside...what is everyone up to?
I think I'm actually more excited about the summer lineup than I was about the fall one. Behold the return of five shows that I pretty much unequivocally ADORE.
1. True Blood (June 13) on HBO - god bless my neighbor's HBO subscription so I can watch the wackass insanity of Eric, Lafayette & Co live every week, squee!
2. Leverage (June 20) on TNT - Hardison Hardison and more Hardison! With some Eliot and Parker thrown in to balance things out :) I think I used the words "delightfully entertaining" to describe this show the other day--true dat.
3. Warehouse 13 (July 13) on Syfy - I was amazed at how fun this show was last summer. Mr. BQ and I were totally sucked in. Can't wait for more goofy sci-fi!
4. Eureka (July 9) on Syfy - this one is new-to-me. The hubby and I have been having a Eureka marathon for the last couple of months for seasons 1-3. I watched one episode all by itself and didn't get it last year, but starting from the beginning I TOTALLY GET IT now. The humor and the chemistry of the entire cast is so great. Again, I really really love me some fluffy campy sci-fi!
5. So You Think You Can Dance (already begun, yay!) - And this will be my popcorn for the brain. My love for this show may go beyond the bounds of logic or reason. It's like everything I love about cheesy dance movies packaged up in a frothy guilty-pleasure weekly bundle of JOY.
And there are a few maybes:
? The Gates (June 20) on ABC, I've been known to like campy supernatural soaps in the past...
? Haven (July 9) on Syfy, looks kind of like Eureka (outside investigator comes to small town full of unusual residents) but darker?
Saying temporary goodbye to Supernatural, Glee, Bones and Castle. Saying permanent goodbye to Lost *sniff*
Fannish projects
Vidding has been sort of put on hold while finishing up podfic projects (though I never seen to lack for vid bunnies). In another amazing-dream-world, I am rich enough to either quit my job and make fannish things full time OR rich enough to buy all of y'all's mad skills on auctions and get my vid/fic/podfic bunnies brought into existence as a patroness of the fangirl arts.
I'm really enjoying the current podfic project too, so not complaining! As much as I loved watching SGA, I came kind of late to the party so I missed out on most of the fandom. I'm loving recording this SGA AU and getting into reading more fic from SGA fandom. There is so much recorded SGA podfic out there for me to delve into! I've pretty much listened to every J2 podfic ever created (some of them several times...) and as much as I anxiously await each new
juice817 recording as they come out, I need more stuff to listen to :p
If there's interest, I might do a podfic rec post?
Other things on my fangirl radar:
Katee in a werewolf fight-club movie? Yes please!
Scott Pilgrim - this comic series is easily on par with the Wimpy Kid books for the number of times it has made me laugh out loud while reading them. I can't recommend them enough. And the trailers for the movie look delightful too! I love when the visual aesthetic of comic books translates well into a movie adaptation.
Mr. BQ has got me totally hooked on watching the Diggnation video podcasts. Adorable nerdy boys are adorable.
Her Universe = nerdy Star Wars clothes made for ladies = made of win!
My baby bro is home for the summer and we have made a pack to marathon as much Buffy & Angel as possible while he is here, wheeee!
