So now I know why Jared was even HUGER than normal ("I want him now. He's larger") in that last episode: he was trying out for the new Conan!
And, while I want for both Jensen and Jared to be truly successful in their careers, I'm really kind of glad he didn't get it. Maybe Jared would have brought a new depth of emotion to the character, but more likely it seems like he would be typecast as the big beefy guy.
Other reason why I'm glad Jared didn't get it? BECAUSE JASON MOMOA DID.
Holy shit, you guys, I can't even express how excited I am about this--both for Jason, because I miss the guy and I'm sure he needs work, and for the awesomeness this lends to the movie.
Seriously, Jason MF Momoa is just about perfect for this role. I can't wait.

So, this scene pretty much sums up the perfect-for-Conan-ness of it all:

This is my fave Jason picture, and guhhh. I am really glad he got the part: I miss him on my screen! Eventually I'm going to go through and rewatch SGA with John/Ronon goggles on and I am looking forward to that already.

I didn't acquire my John/Ronon goggles until about halfway through the series, but I now I watch/rewatch with pretty much equal parts McShep and John/Ronon shippery :D

I was pretty OT4 about the team at first, and I didn't really care which two got together so long as the OTHER two were also together. But then I started leaning towards John/Rodney and Ronon/Keller once they brought in Teyla's pregnancy, and ahaha, that shipping did not work out for me at all. So now, I'm all over John/Ronon. Multishipping like that makes it so much more fun to watch! :D
