I was going to make this a multi-fandom one, but I think I'll have to have one for the BSG fic and another for other fandoms because I read SO DAMN MUCH bsg this year. So here goes!

Title: Set Light To Me Some Surprising Day
Author: mercurial_wit
Characters/Pairings: Dee, Kara/Lee, Kara/Anders, Lee/Dee
Why I loved it: Just when the Quadrangle of Doom was starting to feel tired, even to a die-hard Kara fan like myself, Fayhe came out with this beautiful fic that made me think about it in whole news (and even sympathize with Dee, which is no mean feat!).

Title: Inescapable Darkness ch.1-9
Author: latteaddict
Characters/Pairings: Quad of Doom and some Leoben thrown in for good measure
Why I loved it: Best Martha-makes-angsty-pilots-fic of the year. AU from the Algae planet where "Kara and Lee struggle through their affair, hurting more people than just themselves."

Number 3
Title: Like Rogue Unicorns
Author: nicole_anell
Characters/Pairings: Baltar/Six
Why I loved it: I really think Nicole described it best: "Baltar, Caprica-Six, and their brain-lovers get married and have six children. Three of whom live in their minds. In other words, crackfic." But seriously, it's awesome. Go read it now.

Title: Relearning
Author: cynthia_arrow
Characters/Pairings: Kara/Sam
Why I loved it: Beautifully written fic from Sam's perspective on Kara and their relationship. I have a tendency to swoon sometimes at the awesome of Kate's prose here.

Title: Distant Memory
Author: illiriahrising
Characters/Pairings: Kara/Leoben
Why I loved it: An AU pre-series ficlet that posits that Kara and Leoben met before, in that perfect combo of creepy and hot that Leoben does so well.

Another 13 that I happened to adore and would whole-heartedly rec, and there's plenty of both het and slash to go around here *g*
Title: Stupid Thing Last Night Sequel
Author: stars_like_dust
Characters/Pairings: Kara/Lee
Why I loved it: a crackish look at voyeuristic nuggets getting a glimpse of Kara and Lee's semi-requited Academy sexual tension. And I freakin love the way Claira writes.

Title: Trading Demons
Author: fantasticpants
Characters/Pairings: Romo/Lee
Why I loved it: Brief but angsty and gooood slash fic for Lee in late season 3.

Title: Voices Whisper in the Dark
Author: fadingphantom
Characters/Pairings: Kara/Lee
Why I loved it: a Kara-centric look at the night on New Caprica, presented in a jumbled timeline that gives fresh insight to Kara's motivations. And so much angst I could just lap it up with a spoon!

Title: Hard
Author: becisvolatile
Characters/Pairings: Lee/Sam
Why I loved it: an angsty slash drabble set between Maelstrom and Son Also Rises. *sighs* This might be the precise fic-moment when I first fell in love with Bec ;D

Title: Taste

Why I loved it: Another hot angsty drabble for these two. So good!

Title: The Ripple Across the Mandala

Characters/Pairings: Kara/Sam
Why I loved it: Post-S3 where smutty goodness with Sam is the key to Kara remembering how to get to Earth ;)

Title: Shower Seduction

Why I loved it: Smutty, angsty pilot PWP, written just for me!!!

Title: Season 3 in a Nutshell or Season 3 is Totally Nutz

Characters/Pairings: gen (though it is rather K/L-centric)
Why I loved it: Hilarious and perfectly written crack summary of season 3.

Title: Spiraling Down

Why I loved it: Starts dark and smutty but leads to reconciliation in this AU post-Unfinished Business fic that hits all my bad!dirty!wrong kinks.

Title: Spark

Why I loved it: Full of so much action, comedy and romance in this fab pre-series Academy!hijinks fic.

Title: Pale Days

Why I loved it: Post-Maelstrom angst from Lee's POV written in that lovely lyrical prose that Denise completely pwns.

It's true, I did read a lot of the K/L fic this year--and I'm pretty much a fiend for anything that smacks of some or all of my favorite OT3.
