Wow, I'm literally blushing after such effusive praise. I'm so pleased that you really enjoyed this vid!
I wasn't consciously going for the 80s video vibe, but I'm sure I am most strongly influence by that era of music videos as I did most of my MTV watching in the late 80s and early 90s.
And in trying to create a video for a non-canon slash pairing/triangle, I did have to get pretty creative with mixing clips from different episodes and points in the series timeline to tell the "story" of Anders/Lee (and their tangential relationships with Kara).
