Yay for Rowling, and GRRRRRRR for frakking FOX network (again)

So. Points to Rowling for finally specifying a gay character in the HPverse (despite the amazing abundance of slash/femslash in HP fanfiction to date, I don't think there has been a textually/canonically gay character until now).

But I got nothing but WHITE HOT RAGE for Fox network. I'm very happy I managed to go to as many Buffy sing-alongs as I did before this decision. Thanks Fox for sucking a little bit more of the joy out of fandom.

What the fuck is up with networks preventing me from enjoying my shows!?!

Dude, that totally sucks! I mean, really, most folks who go to singalongs already own the DVDs so, I just don't get how they think this is going to make them more money. Gah.

Also, love the icon! That portion of her having a total toddler hissyfit in the S4 promo always cracks me up when I see it (probably not the reaction they were hoping for, but still, v. intriguing).

I think maybe it ties into that whole public viewing where people have paid to see it part of the copyright laws? Or maybe FOX really is just a bunch of asshats with nothing better to do that disrupt fangirl fun...
